Lovers of everything Mediterranean will soon be able to get their quick fix at a new restaurant in the up and coming Marketplace at Tech Center development.
Officials with Dallas-based Zoes Kitchen announced Thursday that its newest eatery will open Sept. 17 at 12090 Jefferson Ave, Suite 1240 in Newport News.
The restaurant is scheduled to open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and plans to offer beer and wine, a news release said.
“We are thrilled to become a part of the Newport News community and expand our presence in Virginia,” said Regional Operator of Zoës Kitchen, Tony Fratoe, in a news release.
The new restaurant marks the eatery's 14th in Virginia and its 160th in the nation, the news release said.
To celebrate its opening at Tech Center, Zoës Kitchen is giving away 500 entrées at its Newport News location, the news release said. There is also a chance to win a grand prize of free Zoës for a year at the new restaurant.
The contest runs from Sept. 3 through Sept. 17, the news release said.
