Ohio-based DSW Inc. will open its first Peninsula store Sept. 3 at the Marketplace at Tech Center development in the Oyster Point retail district in Newport News.
The 18,000-square-foot store, located at 12080 Jefferson Ave., will be stocked with 21,000 pairs of designer and brand name shoes for men and women, according to a news release. The store will also sell accessories for men and women, including socks, wallets, ponchos, wraps, and handbags.
"We're so excited to open a store in the Newport News area," said Carrie McDermott, executive vice president and chief operating officer of DSW, in a news release. "DSW's footprint continues to grow, and we are committed to being the goto destination for all of our customers' shoe and accessory needs."
